Our MCS Accreditation

MCS is a mark of quality and demonstrates compliance to industry standards that companies strive to meet. It highlights to consumers that companies are able to consistently install or manufacture to the highest quality each time, every time.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is an industry-led and internationally recognised quality assurance scheme, supported by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC). 

MCS certifies microgeneration products used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. MCS also certifies installation companies to ensure the microgeneration products have been installed and commissioned to the highest standard for the consumer. The certification is based on a set of installer standards and product scheme requirements which are available from the MCS website in the MCS Standards section.

Our RECC Accreditation

Protecting consumers and promoting renewables – The Renewable Energy Consumer Code was set up by the Renewable Energy Association. Their aim is to guarantee a high quality experience for consumers wishing to buy or lease small-scale energy generation systems for their homes. The Renewable Energy Consumer Code logo is a sign that the company has agreed to abide by the high standards set out in the Consumer Code which can be accessed here.

RECC members are firms selling or leasing small-scale renewable or low carbon heat or power generation unit who have agreed to comply with the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. This Code is backed by Trading Standards Institute as part of its self-regulation initiative, the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.

Sussex Energy Advisors passed their most recent annual assessment audit in December 2014 and our current certification & membership is valid from January 2015 through to December 2015

Public Liability Insurance

Full indemnity up to £2,000,000

Our professional indemnity, public liability & employer liability insurance is underwritten and administered on behalf of Ageas Insurance Limited,  an NICEIC  Registered Contractor for Insurance Services.

This includes public liability insurance cover of up to £2,000,000, employer liability insurance cover of up to £10,000,000 and also provides Efficacy Extension and Professional Indemnity.

Our current policy is valid through until July 2016 and automatically renewed annually for your peace of mind.
