Your official certificates following a solar PV installation

All solar PV installations carried out by Sussex Energy Advisors Ltd not only meet compliance with MCS standards and adhere to the Renewable Energy Consumer Code, but also comply with all associated building regulations to ensure your solar installation is protected and as safe and secure as your government backed investment.

Following your installation you will receive your MCS, EPC and  Building Regulations Compliance Certificates, ensuring your solar PV system meets all requirements to protect and secure your investment for the long-term. Find out more to the right.

Following your installation you will receive your MCS Commissioning Certificate which we also use to register your solar PV system with Ofgem and Good Energy, whose Feed-in-Tariff payments you will receive each quarter as an additional benefit of your new energy-saving solar generation.

This certifies that your solar PV installation has been carried out by an MCS accredited installer and meets our high standard of work under the MCS Certification Schedule and records your system against your name, address and MPAN number on the MCS database of approved installations.

It also validates your solar installation to give you additional protection and access to insurance backed workmanship guarantees & payment protection through the Quality Assured National Warranties scheme, all of which is fully included in your installation and arranged on your behalf by us directly with the insurance company so that you’re covered from the start – no complicated paperwork, additional fees or headaches and the peace of mind of being covered by the only MCS recommended insurance protection.

You will also receive your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) certifying that the energy efficiency of your property now meets the governments requirement for you to access and receive their Feed-in-Tariff payments. This is also useful if you ever decide to sell your property in the future.

Sussex Energy Advisors manage and organise all of this on your behalf as your appointed solar installer, ensuring you receive the highest rating possible for your property and achieve the required standard to access the maximum feed-in-tariff rate for your payments.

You will also receive a commissioning Building Regulations Compliance Certificate through ELECSA, showing that your installation meets regulatory standards. This is an important document and will be useful if you ever decide to sell your home and the attached income of your solar generation.
You will also receive our 10 year workmanship warranty, backed by the QANW insurance policy, the only MCS recommended deposit and insurance protection available.The components for your installation also come with their own independent warranties for extra protection, such as your solar panels which will typically come with a 25 year warranty and your  solar inverter which typically comes with a 20 year warranty and you will receive these in your official Handover Pack.If you would like any more information on the warranties, guarantees or certificates we provide please contact our East Sussex office.

Our professional indemnity, public liability & employer liability insurance is underwritten and administered on behalf of Ageas Insurance Limited,  an NICEIC  Registered Contractor for Insurance Services.This includes public liability insurance cover of up to £2,000,000, employer liability insurance cover of up to £10,000,000 and also provides Efficacy Extension and Professional Indemnity.Our current policy is valid through until July 2016 and automatically renewed annually for your peace of mind.
